Ce-Monitor

Ce-Monitor monitors the playback content on Scala Players and outputs screen captures of the playback in thumbnails to a folder. As administrators keep track of content playback on the screens, potential downtime is minimized and can be quickly resolved to ensure the delivery of content remains consistent and efficient.

SM Portal

The SMS Portal is a web-based application platform that displays SMS-es in ten different languages. Integrated with Scala, the platform extracts the messages into Scala format to be displayed on the screens.

Weather Report

The Weather Report is a customized Scala script that pulls data for weather conditions based on morning, afternoon and evening forecasts from weather service providers. Once the weather data is downloaded, the script reformats it and displays the weather conditions nicely in an attractive layout with visuals, icons and animations that depict the specific weather condition, on digital advertising screens in the relevant locations.

The Flickr Downloader integrates with Flickr to download images which are then sent to the Scala Player to be displayed on the screens.

Plant Heat Level Presenter

The Plant Heat Level Presenter integrates with Microsoft Excel to provide real time graphic visual display of the temperature level in Shell’s refinery plant. The application reads data from the plant’s system and displays the data in the form of ‘traffic light icons’ with the 3 colors representing specific status of the operations, enabling the delivery of a consistent flow of crucial data that helps boost operational productivity and efficiency.
